I've got a custom program that uses EAGetMail to connect to EmailArchitect. Occasionally, I get this error from my email processor:

'Authentication failed because the remote party has closed the transport stream'

This is only occurring on my new environment. I've had this same configuration running in a different environment for years and I've never seen this error.

In my new environment, I'm checking inbound mail every 30 seconds or so, and only checking for one IMAP user. My old environment is checking as frequently, but for up to 10 users.

you should go to emailarchitect web access -> by system user , then check -> password -> blocked IP address and see if your IP is on the list.
If you login with wrong password for several times, your IP address will be blocked automatically.

Thanks for the response. I've used your email support often enough when I've got time-sensitive issues. I'll use the forums for issues that may help others too.

About my issue, I don't think the blocking is the issue. My log below shows a consistent access pattern, and then occasionally the transport layer will be closed by the server. In a previous support ticket, you advised me to disable some of those IP blocks. Both User & Global IP blocking are shut off.

The IMAP service is configured to only allow IP access from the app server that is trying to download the emails. There is only one email address that the app server is accessing via IMAP.

If you disabled the IP blocking, and it is a temporal error, i thought it is a networking connection problem.

Did you find any error in Journal "Authentication Error" or "System Events"?
